September's Book Giveaway

I decided to go to a monthly giveaway for my book collection. The last book I sent out cost me $4.00... I am glad to do it, but weekly that might help to stretch my funds a little thin :)

So you have until the end of September to enter my book giveaway. Remember, I will only be shipping with the US.

I will be giving away Sandi Patty's book, "Broken on the Back Pew". This book is really good, and Sandi let's you into the deepest places of her heart as she shares her story of her marriage ending. She talks about forgiveness and God's grace. It is an older book, but if you have not read it, you will enjoy it.

Click here if you want to get more information on the book.

I just finished reading Mary Beth Chapman's new book, "Choosing to See" Oh my goodness this book was awesome. I will be back later to write about it...

PS. If any of my Facebook friends visit and you don't want to leave a comment on this post, feel free to leave one on my FB page.

Giveaway #2

Hey Bloggy Friends, or anyone else that stops by...

I am giving away an Angela Thomas book for this giveaway. The title is "Do You Think I'm Beautiful?". I bought it at a store (warehouse) that sells books, some new and some old. It looks like this one is almost new.

On the back cover it reads... In Do You Think I'm Beautiful? Angela Thomas invites you to awaken your passion and glimpse your deepest desires. To voice your longing to be loved with an ultimate love. And to fall into the embrace of the One who asks you to dance. Also, you can visit http://www.angelathomas.com/ to learn more about this book, and her ministry.

I have heard of Angela Thomas before, and seen her speak briefly on videos via the computer (love her accent :) I haven't had the pleasure of doing one of her studies yet, but I hope to in the future... So if you would like to have this book, just leave a little comment and in a week I will draw to see who wins... (Giveaway only open to shipping in the United States).

GIVEAWAY #1

Oh how I love how the video freeze frames on my weirdest faces :)

Well, as talked about in another post this is my first giveaway of books and resources I have found helpful in my spiritual journey. Watch the video to hear about today's giveaway, and make sure to leave a comment to enter the giveaway on this post.

PS. After viewing the video I just want to let you know that I am still working on the things I am talking about... My beliefs are right, but they haven't yet worked fully into my way of life. In an Anne Graham Lotz book she refers to how truth can be in your head, but it needs to work its way to your heart too. Or, as my mentor Beth Moore states... Our theology needs to be our reality (a paraphrase). I am working on that :)

OK, on with the video...

Any Interest???

Hey Bloggyville!!!

I had a thought today about starting up a giveaway on my blog...maybe like once a month or so. Over the last ten years I have grown so much in my spiritual walk with Christ, sometimes it is mind blowing. On the other hand, like a few days ago when I had a sour attitude toward a friend I realized that I still have such a long way to go with Christ. I must continue to pursue God to live the life He has called me to...TO BEAR MUCH FRUIT :) OK, I am off track, boy do I get off track so easily :)

During the last ten years or so I have read many books, and done a lot of Bible Studies... Some of the books I probably couldn't recall much of the information today, but several of the books I have read along the way have had an impact on my life... Let me clarify a bit, I now realize that the book didn't change my life, but God used the information in the book to get my attention to address certain areas of my life...ones that needed a radical makeover.

Ultimately, I know that the book that I need to keep first above all else is my Bible, and I am working on that...or will start working on that. A friend once told me that George Muller, a famous missionary made a commitment that he would read the Bible 4 times more than any book he read. I think that is a good commitment :) For it is only God's Word that can truly, radically, change my life.

So today I was thinking that I wanted to go through my little bookshelf and find the books that made some kind of impact on me, and then give them away on the bloggy. My hope is that whoever wins the book will be exactly the person who needs it at the time. I just truly see more and more that God is a God of perfect timing :)

So, would you leave a comment to let me know if you have any interest in this type of giveaway. I will wait to see what response I get, and then if there is enough interest, or any interest I will choose my first book. post signature
