Could you sign this card?
The words on the card are as follow... "Lord, Glorify Yourself today at my expense, send me the bill. Anything Lord, I set no price. I will not dicker (means to barter)or bargain. Glorify yourself. I'll take the consequences."
Then there was a little place where you could sign the card.
Arthur said that he had such a hard time with this card, because at the time he was afraid to sign that card...he didn't know if something bad would be in store for him... Long story, short...He wrestled this through with God, and the rest is history...
At the end of that segment (I think these were Arthur's words)... He said, "So Glorify Yourself- I'll be the donkey to carry Jesus into Jerusalem that the crowds may worship and praise, Hallelujah to the King.."
So I ask myself...Could I sign that card Arthur received so many years ago??? Honestly, I don't know that I could sign it fully yet... I am wrestling my way through this question too...But I tell you that when all is said and done, I would want my name on that card...

Thankful Thursday

I will jump right it :)
-We have had some issues arrive with our new house over the last week...We are doing a remodel, and we anticipated some, but not everything that has come our way. Today we hit a big one, but I am thankful that ultimately our lives (and house) are in the Lord's hands, and today did not take Him by surprise...
-I am thankful that the Lord is helping me to be strong for my husband as these "issues" arise...My personality lends itself to hysteria, and I feel the Lord is strengthening me to be strong for my husband.
-Even though these "issues" are costing us extra money and time that we had not anticipated, we are blessed to be finding them out now....which saves us money and is possibly saving us on the safety end of things.
-The Lord has sent us an awesome person to work with that has really saved us money and is giving us a lot of help and direction as how to deal with the "issues" :) He is a Christian as well...
-If you read my post several days ago, you would know that I am in a spiritual dry place, and have been for awhile, but I sense the tiniest bit of hope arising in my heart the last couple of days...I hope more fruit will come as I seek to find answers with the Lord about the state of my heart.
-I am going on vacation very soon to see my family!!!!! My mom, dad, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews :)
Well, I will end for now to keep it short, but I am so thankful that when you believe in Jesus you have HOPE, in what seems a Hope LESS world at times.

What do you do once you know the Truth?
Don't let my title fool you either. Yes I know truth (God's truth), but not all truth... I never will until I reach Heaven one day. I will go as far to say that I don't know the truth that comes from suffering...several of my friends are experiencing suffering right now, and they are learning things about God and His truth that I know nothing about. I believe there are some truths that we can only know through suffering.
At present I am not in a so called season of suffering, but I am in a season of my life that is causing me mental anguish. Currently, I am going through a season where I feel distant from God... Part of me wants to say I feel a bit cold or hard hearted in my spiritual walk. All that equals major discontentment in my life.
A few nights ago I told my husband how I was feeling, and that where I am feels like a terrible place for a Christian to be... I asked him what he thinks might be keeping me in this state. He said for him, he has felt this way when he keeps doing things he knows God has called him to stop doing. That resonated with me...there are things in my life I keep fooling around with that I am certain the Lord wants me to stop...my treasured secret sins...things the world, or even my Christian friends may think are OK, but for me they are idols and are not suppose to be part of my life... The Spirit in me wants to resist these things, but my flesh is so weak...so weak...I do the things I hate...
I know one of the reasons I feel distant is my sin and disobedience, but I think there are other reasons too...reasons I am not sure of yet... You see about 10 years ago I felt like I had a wake-up call with God's truth, or at least the truth that He wanted me to know at that time. The spiritual blinders I had on fell off my eyes... I could no longer view things like I once did. I couldn't put the blinders back on... God revealed truth to me about my complacent walk with Him, or may I even go as far to say (this could be another blog post) that I realized I might not even be a child of His. Yes, I called Jesus, Lord...but He wasn't Lord of my life... I was... Can I be His fully, if He was not fully Lord to me??? That is a question I have wrestled with for the last ten years, and still can today.
So this is where I am... I have seen God's truth...It is much harder than I thought...the Christian walk is much harder than I thought... Denying self, and taking up a cross daily is not an easy task, no matter what anyone tells me. Why would it be easy? Do I even get...really get what Jesus did for me? He suffered for me in ways I cannot even grasp with my human mind. Oh, I can say the words about what He has done for me, but saying them is a lot easier than understanding them.
This is my dilemma... I can't go back to walking in blindness, and blatant sin...God's truth, or as much as He wants to reveal to me is in my mind. Yet, the task of surrendering all to Christ seems too big...Something holds me back...this is what I must wrestle with... There is a battle in my soul, and when the battle is over I want to be standing on the other side of this "spiritual fence" I have been sitting on for almost my whole entire life.
You may read this and think I am thinking too deep or being too hard on myself... I am not... Even though this may seem a bit much, I know that this is so good for me... I must work myself through this with God.
I pray He finds me striving to Know Him More today and everyday...

Is anyone else having this problem?
Over the last couple of weeks, I am finding when I visit other websites and blogsites that I can't access many of the pictures or videos... I see a big blank white space where a picture or video should be... Is this happening to anyone? Do you know why, and what can help?
Thanks, Kim

Know & Tell Friday

Remember anyone who stops by can feel free to participate in the "Know & Tell" meme...It is a way to get to know each other a little better in blogworld :)
Questions...
1. I am assuming mostly women will be participating...What is one item, or article of clothing that you don't mind spending a little extra money on (shoes, purse, etc)? Why?
2. Are you married? If so, how long? Give the short version of how you met your spouse? If you are not married... Do you want to be? What is one thing you love about being single?
3. Do you find that you have a level of authenticity (being real...the good, bad and very ugly) in your circle of friends? In your Christian circles and Church? If yes, why do you think that is? If no, why do you think that is?
(I will answer my questions later...remember you can answer in the comment section of this post, or direct us to your site where you have answered...feel free to copy and paste the button above)
